Performance degradation affecting webservices and webclient

Microsoft has identified and resolved an issue impacting performance for multiple tenants on the same cluster. The root cause was related to resource starvation on the shared application service.

As of March 26, 2025, we have been monitoring the telemetry and we can confirm that the issue has been mitigated, and performance has returned to normal.

Recovering

Microsoft has identified that the performance degradation was caused by resource starvation on the shared application service, which impacted all affected tenants. The necessary actions have been taken on their end to restore normal performance.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we worked on this issue. We will provide a final update once performance remains stable over time.

Investigating

Some customers are currently experiencing performance issues in Business Central. Users of the web client may see prolonged loading times and the message "Working on it". Web services are also affected, resulting in delays on handheld scanners and related processes.

The issue has been reported to Microsoft for these environments: PROD-042|PROD-061|PROD-133||PROD-136|PROD-250|PROD-277|PROD-289

We are currently awaiting their feedback and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
