Investigating issues with Microsoft Cloud environments


RCA Report Microsoft: User Impact: Users may have been intermittently unable to access your environment.

Final Status: We were made aware of an issue in which users may have experienced intermittent issues accessing your environment. By gathering and reviewing service diagnostics, we identified an upstream service that was failing over, during which new sign-in attempts were failing while users who were signed in were able to continue to access the service. Following completion of the failover, we confirmed that sign-in attempts are successful. We have confirmed via diagnostic analysis and user reports that environment access has been restored.

Preliminary Root Cause: An upstream service failover.

Next Steps: We're analyzing performance data and trends on the affected systems to prevent this problem from happening again.
